How to Really Succeed in 2026—Once and For All

Great Ideas Won’t Get You There. Big Brains Won’t Get You There. Lots of Money Won’t Get You There. So What Will?

Every January we tell ourselves a familiar story.

This year I need a better idea.
This year I need to sharpen my thinking.
This year I need more capital.

And yet, if those things were the real drivers of success, the world would look very different.

Fact: Some of the smartest, best-funded, most idea-rich people fail, spectacularly.
Inference: The missing variable isn’t external. It’s internal.

In Kabbalah, we call this the difference between the 1% world (the physical world, the world that we connect to through our five senses) and the 99% world (the inner causes). Ideas, intelligence, and money live in the 1%. They matter, but they don’t lead.

The Counterintuitive Truth: Slow Down to Speed Up

The people who truly break through don’t start with tactics. They start with alignment, spiritual alignment to be exact.

Before you plan your goals for 2026, ask better questions:

• What do I actually stand for?

• What values am I unwilling to compromise?

• What problem in the world am I here to help solve?

This isn’t spiritual fluff. It’s strategic clarity.

Assumption worth challenging: “I’ll figure out purpose after I make money.”
Reality: Businesses that scale today succeed because they make a meaningful difference, not after.

Look at the economy around you. The companies winning on every level, growth, retention, valuation—are built on impact. Customers don’t just buy products; they buy alignment.

Look at Patagonia, a company that is all about environmental stewardship and ethical production. Look at Warby Parker, an eyewear company with a social mission, “buy a pair, give a pair”.

Here is a good one - Unilever. Their brands that are “purpose led” like Dove, Ben & Jerry’s, Seventh Generation, outperform the rest of their portfolio.

Create goodness and value in the world makes money. Duh.

So ask yourself honestly:
Is my big idea designed to improve lives—or just extract value?

Money Is a Tool, Not the Engine

Money helps. No question. But money without intention amplifies chaos.

Used consciously, money becomes leverage for service:

• Better experiences

• Better employees

• Better communities

Used unconsciously, it simply increases stress and complexity.

If you’re planning to make more in 2026, the smarter question is:
How will this money allow me to serve at a higher level? How can I serve my community better, my employees, my clients?

Big Brains Matter—But Big Hearts Win

Yes, intelligence counts. Strategy matters. Skill matters.

But here’s what the data is clear about: high-service cultures outperform.

Companies that lead in customer experience, employee engagement, and purpose-driven leadership consistently:

• Create more loyal customers
